Who are you?
Someone who enjoys art and design in two and three dimensions. Digital and analogue. I’m also a sentimental dork with a tendency to wallow in nostalgia for things I may or may not have experienced myself.
How do you… What’s your process?
Well, I need to make something first. Then maybe I’ll get around to explaining the process if anyone actually wants to know. But, thanks for asking.
What software do you use?
I generally use open source programs. My operating system of choice is Ubuntu. A distribution of Linux.
GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is my go-to for raster image editing. I often use it for stitching together visual elements to make rough compositions. There, I can also draw freehand using my digital tablet. It’s great for brainstorming and finishing pieces.
Inkscape is great for manually tracing and polishing raster compositions with vector shapes. Those shapes can then be scaled up to any size for print or made into 3D objects.
Blender is an amazing 3D/2D editing, animating and rendering program. I use it to create models used for 3D printing. I will often start with vector shapes and extrude them, model against reference images or sculpt freely.
Cura is what I use to inspect, prepare and export 3D models to one of my 3D printers. It can take a lot of trial and error to create a print that is durable, uses material efficiently, doesn’t take forever or fail.

What payment methods do you accept?
We use Stripe which accepts credit and debit card payments from Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Diners. Stripe is widely used by businesses large and small around the world. Any payment information you provide will not touch or be stored on my website. It goes directly, securely to Stripe.
Where do you ship?
I ship to the United States, Canada and Mexico.
In what will my item be shipped?
All products will be placed inside a Kaleida Facade branded box with tissue paper, a business card and perhaps other inserts or a note. This box will then be placed inside a generic brown cardboard box with an invoice and brown paper for additional protection. If shipping multiple items I will pack them individually in their own branded boxes, then put those boxes in a single generic brown cardboard box with an invoice and brown paper for cushion.
How quickly do you ship?
All purchases will be shipped within 2-3 business days with exception to special circumstances like extreme weather. You will be notified in these cases.
Do items come with tracking?
Upon purchase you will receive an automated confirmation email with an invoice. Once your purchase is shipped you will receive an additional automated email confirmation with tracking information included.
My item was shipped to the wrong address.
Please be mindful when entering your shipping information as it is exactly what will be printed on the shipping label. I do not touch or edit this information. Less room for human error.
Do you accept returns?
All sales are final. Any exceptions are determined solely by me.
My item was damaged during shipping.
If your item arrives damaged please send an email to contact@kaleidafacade.com containing a description of the damage, 2 photos of the damaged item, 2 photos of the condition of the packaging and your receipt number. I will either refund the cost of the item plus shipping or replace your item free of charge if it is in stock. I reserve the right to refuse this service if I have reason to believe it is being abused.
